This is a short video that documents how the latest Peace Officer photo was put together. This was Loren’s concept, and Darren of Summit Studios made it happen on one cold-ass morning in February. We shot it in the old Walmart parking lot in Fort Collins, using our band van + various props from the tool shed at Ohana. Yes Darren changed the background and the tone, giving it the appearance that this took place at night. Yes the cops actually showed up. Yes we avoided depicting ourselves with actual weapons, on purpose.
This photo was shot in anticipation of possibly winning the Colorado Music Buzz’s March cover, and we did in fact win the March cover!!!! Thanks to everyone who voted for us, you helped us win this. Thanks SO MUCH. This video clip was put together by Tomas Herrera, who runs an up and coming video production company out of Fort Collins, Colorado.

Darren, this is really fantastic. Did a little interview with A.K., Wombat with Dani Grant while we were shooting at The New Belgium Brewery. They were hilarious, smart and super entertaining. Pretty damn talented. I was editing some of their footage to Funk Dub before I checked out this video. Great track. Really LOVE your concept and think you deserved to win the cover of the magazine. Love Loren’s concept too. Nice work.
